De Arturia BeatStep Pro sequencer is een professionele sequencer met tal van aansluitmogelijkheden. De BeatStep Pro beschikt over twee melodische en een drumsequencer voor analoge en digitale gear.
Arturia BeatStep Pro is een wereld-klasse dynamische sequencer met ongeëvenaarde mogelijkheden. De Beatstep Pro is gemaakt om te performen, of het nu via MIDI, USB, CV/gate of DIN sync is. De BeatStep Pro beschikt over twee onafhankelijke melodie sequencers en een drum sequencer. Je kan de BeatStep Pro gebruiken voor een volledige performance, software aansturing, het aansturen van digitale of analoge synthesizers, drum kits, iPad apps etcetera.
Met de melodische sequencer kun je tot 64 stappen per sequence maken, 16 sequences per project en 16 projecten. Dit maakt 'm de meest indrukwekkende step sequencer ooit.
Met de drum sequencer heb je toegang tot 16 verschillende sequence tracks. Neem in real-time op met de step buttons voor een klassieke drum machine workflow.

One of the important features for me is the ability to decrease the bpm through an external analog clock. My line of soundscaping requires a minimum of 1 BPM and this Beat Step Pro can handle it, unfortunately the BPM display won't show. It even has a dedicated sync switch on top, which my Key Step Pro has not. I have been working with the BSP for several years now and despite of the ugly refrigerator color (yep, white not black) it did all I wanted it to do. I just bought a new one as the other one drank too much beer, literally. I do also own the Doepfer Dark Time but its UI is not as easy as the BSP Shift function. My dislike is that the MIDI ports are not 5-pins and the USB is flimsy. Other than that, it is an easy workhorse for monophonic sequences. 5 Stars.
